Overtures, an Italian heavy metal and power metal band, was founded in 2003 in Gorizia by vocalist Michele Guaitoli, Luka Klanjscek, Marco Falanga, Marko Klanjscek, and Daniele Piccolo. The group released their first demo in 2005, produced by Andrea Rigonat. In 2007, Overtures signed with VideoRadio, which distributed their debut album Beyond the Waterfall. The following year, the rights to the album were acquired by Rock it Up Records, launching the band internationally. In 2010, they released their second album Rebirth under Sleaszy Rider Records, featuring a music video for "Fly, Angel". Overtures embarked on their first European tour in 2012 and released Entering the Maze in May 2013. The band continued touring extensively across Europe. In 2016, they released their fourth album Artifacts. Marco Falanga left the band in 2017 due to personal reasons and was replaced by Massimiliano Pistore.
