Monica Casagrande is a singer and songwriter from Marilia-SP, Brazil. In 2019 she released “Segundo Ato do Novo”, the first of 4 singles, which dealt with death and rebirth, a concept she titled as “Cárcere do Carcará”, with great jazz influence, production and musical direction by Eduardo Brechó and Renato Alves, and Estela Paixão as voice director.
In 2022, she released her first EP entitled “Encruza Miramar”, with 5 tracks. The project is entirely focused on exchanges and relationships, whether natural, spiritual or social. With musical production by Ale Elias, it is influenced by Clara Nunes, samba and reggaeton.
Now in 2023, after moving to the United States, she launches her new project “Saudades Tropicais”, where she shares a new moment, reflective and full of nostalgia for Brazil, where Monica, and her producer Ale Elias, unite the musical influences of the two countries, in tracks full of Bossa nova, Samba, Jazz, Soul and Blues.
