A South African band led by singer Zolani Mahola, Freshlyground fuses traditional kwela with Western jazz and rock. The group's international musical cuisine can be tasted on the albums Nomvula (2004) and Radio Africa (2010). Freshlyground is also known for its hit "Waka Waka", sung with Colombian star Shakira during the 2010 World Cup.
