Javi G is the stage name of Diego Javier González who was born in Cali Colombia. He traveled to Venezuela for five years, to later return and thus start his musical career at the young age of 7 years and mainly driven by his mother, the lawyer Amparito Reyna, but without underestimating the vital support of his father the original “Javi- market ”Francisco Javier González.
When he was a child he was part of the orchestra formed by Professor Álvaro Antonio Ladino, in the "Normal Departamental Para Varones De Cali", alongside his best friend and percussionist Johnny Obando. His father, seeing Javi's musical progress, suggested to Ladino that he promote it with professional orchestras and that is how he entered the only children's salsa orchestra in Colombia "La Charanguita de Luis Carlos". With this group he travels: North and South America, Cuba and Europe, this being the link for his first entry to a recording studio at the tender age of 9 years as a chorus girl, minor percussionist (güiro, maracas) and lead voice of the album "We can and we must" from the Fonocaribe label.
At the age of fourteen, Javi "G" lent his military service in the National Police of Colombia. Right after graduating as a professor, he formed an orchestra called "La Autoridad" with the firm and unconditional support of Lieutenant Ortiz. The Authority made several regional television programs and an album for Caracol Colombia, achievements that became a springboard for different producers such as Jairo Varela and his "Grupo Niche", Alexis Lozano and his "Orquesta Guayacán" to be interested in his talent. so much so that he was a singer and songwriter for the Gale Group for more than seven years, recording more than seven musical productions with this group.
He started as a composer at the age of 12, but his first song recorded for a record label, was at 16 when he wrote "Seems Mentira" for the label "Codiscos" with musical arrangements by maestro Ángelo Torres, a song produced entirely in Puerto Rico. .
Javi "G" considers himself a "COLOMBORICUA" at heart, due to the great musical bond that unites him with different artists from the island.
He has toured the largest stages in the world in countries such as: Germany, Belgium, Holland, France among other European destinations. North, Central and South America, as well as important destinations in the Caribbean (Aruba, Curasao, Martinique, Bonaire), among many others, sharing music and collaborating with many artists: "Fania All Stars" (Celia Cruz, Andy Montañéz, Cheo Feliciano, Jhony Pacheco) and many others.
Javi G, from very humble origins, has in his career very important achievements for any artist: a Billboard Award, two Lo Nuestro Awards, several Latin Grammy nominations, among others, with different interpreters among which are: Víctor Manuelle, Tito Nieves, Frankie Negrón, Gran Combo De Puerto Rico, Pedro Brull, Charlie Cruz, N'klabe, Michael Stuart, Toby Love etc.
Finally, he has shown his great musical talent with equal competence and inspiration as a singer-songwriter, producer and multifaceted creative, thanks to his knowledge of Latin percussion (conga, bongo, timbal, maracas, güiro) among others, and his innate melodic capacity.
His extraordinary ability has allowed him to reside in the United States developing different projects for multiple artists as composer, chorister, vocal and conceptual director, among many other musical endeavors. With more than 1500 recorded choirs, it is very common to hear his voice in different songs daily, by Alejandro Fernández, Luis Fonsi, Javier García, David De María, Antonio Orozco, etc., the latter three being Spanish artists, who value and admire. the talent of this young singer-songwriter-producer.
Javi G has proven to remain valid in people's taste and believes that it is time to meet his audience again as a soloist, after a break of almost 2 and a half years, time that he dedicated to the development of his new musical material : "MY URBAN SALSA ''.
