A Life Once Lost was an American metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group formed in 1999 and released their debut album, Open Your Mouth for the Speechless... in Case of Those Appointed to Die (2000), on Robotic Empire. They toured with Canadian band The End shortly after its release. A Life Once Lost released their third album, Hunter (2005), on Ferret Music and supported it by touring with acts such as Throwdown, As I Lay Dying, and Lamb of God. Their subsequent albums included Iron Gag (2007), featuring guest appearances from Devin Townsend, Anthony Green, and Randy Blythe, and Ecstatic Trance (2012). The band toured extensively throughout their career, including performances at Ozzfest in 2006 and multiple European tours. A Life Once Lost announced their breakup in 2013.
