Skarhead is an American hardcore punk band from New York City, founded and fronted by Lord Ezec, also known as Danny Diablo. The group is credited with originating "thugcore" music, a subgenre of hardcore punk characterized by relentless breakdowns. Skarhead's initial breakthrough came with the release of their debut album Kings at Crime (1998), followed by Nyc Takeover Vol. 2. The band toured extensively with notable acts such as Gwar, Hatebreed, and Earth Crisis. They released their third studio album, Drugs, Music & Sex (2009). Skarhead's influence extended to other bands like Deez Nuts and Fucked Up, who cited them as an inspiration. The band featured a rotating lineup of members including Dan Singer, White Owl, Mitts, Goat, Hoya Roc, Puerto Rican Mike, A.K.Ray, Kevin Thorne, Rigg Ross, and Rob "Big Rob" Castoria.
