Prettos is a duo formed by the brothers[1] Magnu Sousá - Magno de Oliveira Souza and Maurílio de Oliveira - Maurilio de Oliveira Souza; samba singers, instrumentalists, producers, actors and composers born in 2014 after the dissolution of the musical group Quinteto em Branco e Preto, in which they remained in activity for 18 years. In 2013, still in the Quintet, were the winners of the 24th Brazilian Music Award in an unprecedented event; competed in the same category with two albums produced by them in 2012 - Quinteto and Comunidade Samba da Vela, an important samba movement which they are founders.
Deep connoisseurs of samba, they have a solid career in Brazilian music and have performed alongside the biggest names in samba among other genres, such as: Maria Rita, Beth Carvalho, João Nogueira, Nelson Sargento, Célia, Monarco, Osvaldinho da Cuíca, Germano Matias, Seu Jorge, Paula Lima, Paulinho da Viola, Noite Ilustrada, Jorge Aragão, Diogo Nogueira, many.
At the invitation of the great producer Fernando Faro, Magnu Sousá and Maurilio de Oliveira, performed in 14 TV Cultura rehearsal programs, following Noca da Portela, Wilson das Neves, Wilson Moreira, Nei Lopes, Xangô da Mangueira, Walter Alfaiate, Carlinhos Vergueiro, Moacyr Luz, Ivone Lara, Luiz Carlos da Vila, Almir Guineto, Beth Carvalho, Surica da Velha Guarda da Portela, Quintet in White and Black..
