Favourite Sons is an American indie rock band from Brooklyn, formed in 2004. The group consists of Ken Griffin, formerly of Rollerskate Skinny, and four members of Aspera: guitarist/keyboard player Justin Tripp, guitarist Carmine Degennaro, bass guitarist Matt Werth, and drummer A.J. Edmiston. Their debut album, Down Beside Your Beauty (2006), was released on Vice Recordings and mixed by Victor Van Vugt. The band's early success included a European tour supporting the release of their EP Treason and notable performances with acts like Au Revoir Simone and Voxtrot. That Driving Beat was released in 2003. In 2011, they released their album, The Great Deal Of Love.
