Elysian Underground is a British electronic music group formed in mid 2002 in Devon, England. The principle band members and recording artists consists of Jay Black.
Jay Black (born 18 August 1973), best known by the stage name Elysian Underground, is a British Electronic musician originally from the North of England. He is best known for his idiosyncratic synth style, working primarily in genres such as House, Techno and Intelligent Dance Music.
Raised in North Yorkshire, Black began releasing IDM tracks in the mid 2000s under the aliases of Jim Ripley and Jay Black.
In 2010, Whilst living in the North East of England; he first received acclaim with a selection of his most prominent electronic works.
