Clovis is one of a kind. Constantly exploring the boundaries of rap and chanson, his path weaves between the old and new generations of French music. Drawing inspiration from Alain Bashung and passing through artists like Bekar and Gaël Faye, Clovis embraces chiaroscuro through tracks with misty atmospheres and unique themes (noise, insomnia, gentleness). Sometimes set to Liquid DnB electro sounds, other times to acoustic instruments, Clovis writes about the world’s vulnerabilities, describing its movements and its mishaps. Like a window onto the era and onto himself, Clovis offers a singular approach carried by a warm voice, luminous lyrics, and boundless musicality. Each track is co-composed with his brilliant friend and right-hand man, Antonin Aguessy (Soberland).
