Los Flechazos, a Spanish mod and from León, was formed in 1987 by Alejandro Díez Garín on vocals and guitar, Elena Iglesias Sastre on organ, José Berrot on harmonica and backing vocals, Héctor Escobar on bass and backing vocals, and Pedro Javier Alonso on drums. Their debut album, Viviendo en la era Pop, was released in 1988. The band's lineup underwent changes over the years, including the addition of Ramón Díez as a replacement for Héctor Escobar. Subsequent albums include Preparados, listos, ya! (1991) and Alta Fidelidad (1995). In 1994, Héctor Escobar and Pedro Javier Alonso left the group, with Francisco Vila and Miguel Manero taking their places. The band announced its dissolution during the 1997 Purple Weekend festival, which Alejandro Díez Garín and Elena Iglesias Sastre had created in León.
