Ivan Cattaneo, born on March 18, 1953, in Bergamo, Italy, is an Italian singer-songwriter. He participated in musical competitions as a child and learned guitar during art school. Cattaneo released his debut album UOAEI in 1975 under Ultima Spiaggia. His follow-up album Primo secondo e frutta (Ivan compreso) in 1977 featured the single "Maria Batman" and marked his first commercial success. In 1980, he signed with CGD and released Urlo, which included the hit single "Polisex". The following year, Cattaneo released Duemila60 Italian Graffiati. He later opened the disco Bandiera Gialla in Rimini and released several albums. Disappointed by the music industry, Cattaneo withdrew from his musical career after finishing his contractual agreement with CGD in 1986 but released an album of unreleased songs in 1992 and returned to launching new music shortly after. In 2010, he released '80-E-Basta!
