Power pop group Fotomaker, from Long Island, New York, formed in 1977 by bassist Gene Cornish and drummer Dino Danelli. The band also included guitarist/vocalist Wally Bryson, guitarist/vocalist Lex Marchesi, and keyboardist/vocalist Frankie Vinci. Fotomaker debuted at the newly remodeled Cleveland Agora in early 1978. Their self-titled debut album Fotomaker was released on February 28, 1978, on Atlantic Records, produced by Eddie Kramer, Ron Albert, and Howard Albert. The lead single "Where Have You Been All My Life" reached number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their second album, Vis-a-Vis, was released in October 1978 and included the single "Miles Away", which peaked at number 63 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wally Bryson left the band before their third album, Transfer Station, was released in 1979. The group disbanded shortly afterward. Gene Cornish and Dino Danelli were later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 along with former Rascals bandmates Felix Cavaliere and Eddie Brigati.
