Joe Roberts is a British musician known for his contributions to soul music. His career began with solo hits such as "Lover" and "Back In My Life", released in the early 1990s. He later gained recognition with the EP Adore, originally by Prince on his album Sign “☮” the Times. Roberts' initial success was marked by several charting singles, including "Love Is Energy", which reached Number 81 in the UK in 1992 and "Back In My Life", which peaked at Number 59 in the UK in 1993. His solo career continued with notable releases such as "Lover", which reached Number 22 in the UK in 1994, and a re-issue of "Back In My Life" that peaked at Number 39 in the UK the same year. He also released "Adore" and "Come Together" in 1994. Roberts collaborated with Melanie Williams, covering "You Are Everything", previously recorded by The Stylistics and later covered by Diana Ross and Marvin Gaye. Together, they released several notable singles, including "Happy Days", which peaked at Number 8 on the UK Dance Chart in 1995.
