SirBastien (real name George Irabor) is a 26-year-old musician from Ibadan, Nigeria, now based in Paris. He began making music in 2008 and plays guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards. He first got noticed in 2019 with his projects Mango and Mango Island, and later worked as a recording engineer on the Grammy-nominated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, especially on Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up.”
His sound mixes Pop, Electro, and Afrobeats, drawing comparisons to Steve Lacy, Sunni Colon, and Yinka Bernie. His latest album, Jungle Flakes, blends electronic, indie and afrobeats into one delicious breakfast experience.
