CARLIE has been making serious waves and in just over a year, her innate talent for memorable and relatable songwriting has earned her over half a million streams on Spotify alone. She has released singles with producers from all over the world, garnering high-profile support from the likes of Spotify Editorials, EARMILK, Electric Hawk, the BBC, Ultra Festival, Headbang Society and Triple J to name a few. This incredible upward trajectory that’s still in its infancy, has already firmly cemented her position as one of the most exciting creators within her circles, especially within the new fast-emerging genre Vapor Twitch, led by Australian producer Flume.
Sticky Love, the first track off of her debut EP has now hit almost 400,000 streams on Spotify after securing its place on four editorial playlists; creamy (722k followers), Ultra Gaming (520k followers), Friday Cratediggers (391k followers) and Chillige Basse (278k followers).
CARLIE has been singing ever since she was a little girl but it wasn’t until seeing people busking in her local town that she decided to teach herself how to play guitar to be able to get a taste of it herself. Through busking she built up a natural performing ability and used this time to hone in her craft and trial out new songs she had written.
Knowing what route she wanted to pursue, she decided to study music at the university BIMM in Brighton. It was here where she discovered the art of music production and spent every moment she could exploring the music software Logic so that she’d eventually be able to create the music she wanted to without any limitations.
During her time at uni, she also gigged around London and Brighton as part of the band Suzi Island and was able to work with a multitude of incredible producers including; Pete Robertson, the drummer of The Vaccines, who has produced tunes for beabadoobee, Orla Gartland and Chloe Moriondo; King Ed who has produced for Years & Years, Baby Queen and beaux; Larry Hibbit who has worked with Sea Girls, Nothing But Thieves and Sundara Karma; and James Mottershead who has produced music for The Magic Gang, Marmozets and The Kooks.
CARLIE has found great success in previous projects she has been involved in and has accumulated well over one million streams in her extensive career. Her work has also been featured on a variety of mediums such as PES 18/19, Made In Chelsea, the 2018 World Cup Finals, Wimbledon, Geordie Shore, Match Of The Day, Teen Mom, Eastenders, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6, and more and she shows no signs of slowing down.
