Ryan Smith, known professionally as Induce, was born in Miami, Florida, United States and is an American DJ, record producer, singer, and writer. He co-founded Counterflow Recordings, an independent record label based in Miami, in the early 2000s. Following that, Induce released his album Cycle in 2005 under WonderSound, his own label. He gained recognition for his work as a singer with the release of Halfway Between Me And You in 2012, which was praised by MTV Hive and earned him Artist of the Year from The 305. Induce has collaborated with various artists, including Danny Daze on Disco For Abruzzo Vol. 1, and Kid Sister as her DJ. He also directed music videos for songs like "Get Down Saturday Night" and "Ride Around." In addition to his musical endeavors, Induce hosted a monthly radio show called Induce's Listening on dublab.
