Trying my best not to procrastinate...
My name is David, I'm from London, and I and sign my work under the artist name Daverage J Normal or DJN.
I find inspiration mostly just cooking away in the back of my mind and from noodling around with synths, generally leaning towards a retro-futuristic and science fiction vibe. I have a very simple process, power on, mess about, oh, I like that, let's evolve it..
I write music because I feel a need to express part of myself and connect with others. My focus is on music production especially synthesis and sound design.
I like to think my sound is retro-futuristic.
I've been making music in various guises for 25 years, as bassist in rock bands, sitting at a computer making beats or twiddling with a synth. I still play bass with a couple of bands.
When people listen to my music I hope it gives a bit of a buzz to the moment wherever they me be
