In February 2022, with Australia’s international borders newly reopened, Islan left his home in Lyon, France to move to Melbourne with a mission. Islan would bring his confrontational and novel music to Melbourne’s vibrant music scene.
Since then, Islan has worked and experimented on new compositions as well as performing solo sets in Melbourne venues like the Brunswick Artist Bar, The Retreat Hotel, Open Studio and Bar Open. After releasing his first project in July 2021 under the name “A Running Man,” Islan is releasing a new project with a less experimental sound, focusing on acoustic sounds and personal lyrics.
