Always striving to be more of a magician, TEARS OF HOPE returns once again with a few tricks up its sleeve, driven by the desire to keep surprising you.
With the release of a fourth album in 2024 and over 15 music videos where TEARS OF HOPE boldly showcases its love for genre-blending—mixing Rock, Reggae, Pop, Ska, Metal, Waltz, Funk, Pop-Folk, and Hip-Hop—the SkiZoFrenetiK Narbonnais project pushes the boundaries once again.
Already a "jack-of-all-trades," capable of performing in various formats—Acoustic, Electric, and Sound System—the project continues to expand the realm of possibilities, effortlessly blending styles and arts like one changes hats.
The motto remains the same: NO BARRIERS, and it has been since 2011 with albums such as "Acoustic Meetings," "Electric Meetings," "Sem'anza" (produced by Gambeat, bassist of Manu Chao - Radio Bemba), and other unreleased singles. Expression must be multidisciplinary and should not be confined by the institutionalization of genres; there are no limits to art. And if art is about "touching," then it should engage all the senses.
After performing at various concerts in France and Spain, participating in festivals, and collaborating with La Pegatina, Che Sudaka, Goulamas'K/Cartoon Machine, Will Barber (The Voice), Puppa Nadem, Biggz General (grandson of Bob Marley), El Chamuyo, Nika Leeflang, Hashka, and many others, TEARS OF HOPE is setting out to conquer new frontiers, with radio appearances worldwide and features on France 3, in Les Inrockuptibles, and on Mytaratata.
Music crafted with the precision of a hatter, the spirit of magicians, and the curiosity of a mad scientist in his laboratory, where experiments abound. It could sometimes be described as a meeting between The Clash and Manu Chao... Perhaps, but not quite, as there's always just a step from one string to another on the bow. A step that TEARS OF HOPE loves to take for the love of multicultural art—always universal, always with you!
