RIŻIK is the creative project of musician, producer, and live performer Hisham Dahud, a multi-instrumentalist who channels a deep connection to the cosmos and the human experience into immersive musical journeys. His music reflects existential inquiry—a search for meaning, the tension between control and surrender, and the fragile beauty of impermanence.
After over a decade working behind the scenes with legendary artists like Richie Hawtin, DJ Shadow, and Junkie XL, Hisham reached a turning point.
“I spent years helping others build their creative worlds while neglecting my own. I had to step out of the shadows and create something that was truly mine.”
This realization led to RIŻIK—a project rooted in self-discovery, breaking free from expectation, and using music as a mirror for existence. The name “Rizik,” meaning “blessing” in Arabic, symbolizes Hisham’s personal rebirth—a commitment to artistic truth and inspiring others to embrace their own.
At the heart of RIŻIK is live performance as a compositional process—a dynamic journey where creation and performance merge in real-time. With synths, piano, electronic textures, and live drums as conduits for storytelling, RIŻIK crafts expansive, deeply personal soundscapes that pull listeners into a world where music transcends sound—it becomes an exploration of the unknown.
