The sounds that I use are a direct amalgamation of the experiences of this life.
Over the years I have created and worked genre free. From Alt-Rock (Spud In The Box) to Songwriter (Understudy) to RnB & Hip-hop (Voices/BIB), I have been making music that resonates with me.
Going forward, my songs have predominantly earthy elements with very minimal electronic sounds. Many of the songs are collaborations with artists from around the world. The songs could be considered alt/pop, singer-songwriter, new age or indie/RnB. Lot of times I realise how people see my music after it reaches their playlists, but this is where I believe my music fits. Some common topics across my music are hope, inevitability, solitude, loss and love.

Joshua Singh is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer from Mumbai, India. His music stems from a space of introspection. His sound is constantly evolving, bending genres and finding new ways to express his routes with every release.
As a producer, he has worked with Sonu Nigam, Hard Kaur and Taba Chake. Most notably, he performed as the drummer and co-producer for acclaimed independent band Spud In The Box, touring across India extensively to perform at festivals including NH7 Weekender, Ragasthan, Red Bull Tour Bus, and the Kala Ghoda festival. He has been composing and producing music since the age of 12.
His last single, Voices, was a heavy hitter with elements of RnB, flutes, rap, and Indian rhythms. ‘All I Ever Learnt’, was released with an elegant music video that has now crossed 30,000 views organically. His release a month before that, Breakfast In Bed, has been streamed more than 20,000 times on Spotify since it released on June 28th, while the crowd-sourced music video, featuring real couples from around the world, has received more than 8,000 organic views on YouTube. Singh’s debut EP, Understudy, was released in September 2019 with positive reviews.
Joshua Singh also works at his family-run music studio and copyright services agency. They are pioneers in the space of publishing administration, helping musicians bridge the gap between money and their metadata.
His father Raju Singh, an esteemed composer and music director and his grandfather, Charanjit Singh, is known for his diversity within the field; he is considered a pioneer of acid house internationally and is famous for his colorful release ‘Ten Ragas To A Disco Beat’. His sister Rachel Singh is also an upcoming singer-songwriter with the most eclectic voice in today's times.
