Jessica Bailiff is an American singer-songwriter and musician from Toledo, Ohio. Her music spanned genres including slowcore, post-rock, and shoe gaze. She was discovered by Alan Sparhawk of Low, who recommended her demos to Kranky. In 1999, she released Hour of the Trace, followed by Feels Like Home (2006), Old Things (2007), and At the Down-Turned Jagged Rim of the Sky (2012). Notable collaborations include work with Odd Nosdam, Dave Pearce, and Rachel Staggs. Bailiff's music has also been featured on The Wire's compilation Brain in the Wire (2002).
