From a very young age, Gwen Cahue was passionate about music and took up the guitar self-taught. Touched by the genius of Django Reinhardt and the world of gypsy jazz, he devotes himself mainly to the acoustic guitar. After rubbing shoulders with the tenors of gypsy jazz (Biréli Lagrène, Tchavolo Schmitt, Yorgui Loeffler...), he forged his own musical character and performed in Parisian jazz clubs and festivals, as a leader or soloist. guest on jazz guitar and quickly became a figure in French jazz.
By accessing international stages (Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Spain...) he became an ambassador of French Jazz. Her passion for the acoustic sounds of string jazz combined with influences from, among other things, classical music, led Gwen to offer her own musical vision through a searing first album, Memories of Paris (Label Ouest), well received by the criticism and the public of contemporary jazz. His second album, Margin Call (Label Ouest), establishes him as one of the most brilliant guitarists of his generation. Partner of the singer Louise Perret within the Melkoni Project, we also find him as a guest in projects such as “Autour de la guitar” by Jean-Félix Lalanne. He was awarded 4 T (TTTT) from Télérama magazine for his album Storyboard in duo with pianist Baptiste Bailly. In France and abroad he is considered a rising star of Jazz Guitar.
