Belgian singer born Marc Liénart van Lidth de Jeude in Brussels on November 22, 1950, and deceased on December 27, 2019, Art Sullivan scored a number of early hits in the 1970s. In a sentimental, romantic song style, set to variety or pop-rock orchestrations, he performed "Ensemble " in 1971 and "Adieu, sois heureuse " the following year. After "Tu es belle " (1973), the singles "C'est ma prière", also sung by Mike Brant, "Donne, donne-moi" and "Un océan de caresses" followed in 1974. Art Sullivan went on to sell millions of records, and his fame spread from French-speaking Europe to Portugal and South America, with interpretations of his own songs in Portuguese and Spanish. Although only a few original albums were released during this period, cheap compilations proliferated with her next hits "Appelle-la", "Jenny" and above all "Petite demoiselle" (1975), then "J'ai pleuré" and "Et si tu pars" (1977) in a duet with Kiki (Kiki van Oostindië), or "Fan fan fan" and "Sur le bord d'une vie", with the group Cash in 1978. In 2000, Sullivan returned to song in a more serious vein with the album Le Citoyen Numéroté, followed by Couleur Verre (2002), T'Arrête Pas (2004) and Tout Est Dans Tout (2006). He died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 69.
