Team Amateur, a German indie-pop band from Berlin, was founded in 2004 as a studio project by Michael Hank and actor Tim Sander. The duo initially focused on developing their unique sound, characterized by intricate rhythms and analog synthesizers. Their breakthrough came in 2013 when their song aired on Radio Fritz's Unsigned show, catching the attention of the independent label Rummelplatzmusik, which signed them in 2014. The band released their debut single "Schieß Mir Ins Knie / Zeitlupe" in 2014, and expanded to a live lineup with Caroline Weber on drums and Max Köhrich on bass. Their debut album Feuer Und Freizeit was released in 2014, garnering significant media coverage, positive reviews, and numerous radio and TV appearances. The album's release was supported by concerts and live performances, including a Germany tour in 2015 following the vinyl release of Feuer Und Freizeit – Teil 1.
