Pianist, composer, and improviser, Pablo Murgier deploys a palette of daring harmonies with jazz sounds while mixing the charm of tango and the richness of classical music. On his keyboard at the crossroads of styles, a musical journey takes place, thus creating an authentic music and drawing a universe of its own.
With his quartet the Pablo Murgier Ensemble or as a soloist, this musician already has several hundred concerts around the world. Among the halls are the prestigious CCK of Buenos Aires, the Munich Philharmonic, the Paris Philharmonic and the Gdansk Philharmonic. He has also performed with Orchestre National du Capitole (Toulouse). With his Ensemble he received the prize for “Best tango Orchestra” (Tango Sin Fin) and his first solo album was nominated for the Gardel Awards. The rich and varied discography has a very strong emphasis on his own compositions. His latest album “Gare Du Sud” reflects the evolution of the artist, imbued with sensitivity, depth and power.
