It all started when Sam was 15 and given a beautiful Yamaha electric piano with weighted keys. After a few lessons from the village pianist, the keys slammed into the cracked Nuendo Steinberg software via the MIDI interface and the first sounds could be heard, thanks in part to plugins such as Hypersonic 2.
The trainee money was scraped together, sufficient Samplitude software and a T-Bone SC 1100 Mic for the first stable sound were treated. First self-made beats and tracks were made. Double rhythms, tact, flow and pitch were harmonized after intensive practice.
For Sam Weber, writing texts was primarily a matter of the mind. No mainstream gangster cocaine chants, no “LELE…Bra-Bro” gibberish or anything like that. Sam is just a little crazy and builds that into funny, serious, sad and deep tracks.
Salt is rubbed into the wound to tease out the extreme. Dealing with taboo subjects is kind of a passion for Sam. And so his lyrics are sometimes deliberately provocative.
A lot of people who listen to Sam Weber's music say it's just something completely different. And that's exactly what he wants to achieve - always stand out and be unique
