New “Come to Me (Nana Ooh) [Remixes]” EP out 11/15!
Powerhouse vocalist Samantha Howard, a native of Brooklyn, NY, has been singing since the age of four years old. Though her gift was cultivated and refined in the church, her voice has been shaped by the many genres that she also grew up listening to. Samantha grew up listening to a wide variety of artists such as: Yolanda Adams, Cece Winans, Kirk Franklin, Beyonce, Brandy, Avril Levine, Coldplay, Fall Out Boy and Kelly Clarkson. She then later went on to study music classically at Oakwood University. After graduating from college, she officially pursued her career as an entertainer, actor & singer. She has credited features as background vocals for artists on network programs such as: The Grammy’s announcement Commercial with Alicia Keys, The Victoria Secret Fashion Show, NBC with Leela James, Countdown to the Golden Globes on NBC with John Legend and Common + many more.
Samantha has had the opportunity to both sing locally and travel internationally; sharing the stage with prestigious artists like: Vashawn Mitchell, J.J. Hairston, Rich Tolbert, Koryn Hawthorne, Jason & Jonathan Nelson, Lexi, Fabolous and more.
Trained to have control, she mastered the ability of suspense while telling stories through her songs, no matter which genre. Samantha believes that music is medicine for the soul, and approaches everything she creates with that goal to heal (the soul). She states “We’re not just one thing. I believe people are multidimensional, and I want that to be felt in my art. Just like there are different medicines for different needs, I want to have art for all moods.”
With her love for many genres, you can always expect to find something a little different with each release. In 2023 the song ‘Life Him Up’ reached #1 on the Nielson BDS indicator and Internet Radio charts. in Her latest single ‘Come to Me (Nana Ooh)’, released in April 2024, has garnered over 508k streams on Spotify, 217k streams on Apple Music & 700k streams on YouTube to date.
