Start professional music carrier as bass player with Nugie & ALV band, made 5 albums (Bumi - 1995, Air - 1996, Udara - 1998, ALV - 2001, & Senyawa Hati - 2003) under Indonesian biggest record label Aquarius Musikindo. On those albums Alex Kuple also recording piano and acoustic guitar tracks, and co-written several songs. Nugie & ALV was named one of the pioneer of grunge alternative rock music Indonesia under the big record company, and have some biggest radio/tv hits in 90s like songs "Tertipu", "Teman Baik", "Burung Gereja", "Pembuat Teh", Tak Kasat Mata", and others. The biggest show ever was as line up band with Foo Fighters , Sonic Youth , Beastie Boys , Pas Band , and Netral at MTV Jakarta Music Alternative Festival in 1996.
After ALV band hiatus since 2005, Alex Kuple played with other artist and band as additional bass player, such as Baim , Base Jam , Tere , etc. Alex Kuple expand his carrier as a music director and music producer for several indie artist and band like Caecillia , Rania Ariani, The Army Ants, Friday Rock Club, Allegra Isdar, Neo Marigold, etc. Alex also recording with JIMMU in 2010.
Alex Kuple start his solo project in early 2000s and wrote many songs mostly instrumental. The first solo project song landed on Deezer in June 2020, and now aggressively and eagerly making more music to release.
Now collaborate with his wife Tya Subiakto making more music.
