Les Évadés is an instrumental collective from Quebec City (Canada) creating a unique sound combining jazz, psychedelic rock and world music since 2014. Merging a rock-influenced rhythmic section (guitar-bass-drums) with the lyricism and almost classical feel of a strings section (violin-cello), Les Évadés stand out by their hybridity. After their first album in 2016, the band is back as a collective in 2019 with their second album, "Black Mamba". Four singles from their upcoming 2023 album Telepass are already out: Tempera, Tiamat, Munchesk and Samsara.
In total, 5 singles from the album Telepass (available in October 2023) will be accompanied by a comic book-style visual work created by artist Arielle Galarneau. These illustrations represent surrealistic dreamlike paintings where different characters can be seen moving towards the imaginary place Telepass. This place evokes the idea of telepathic creation - where there is meeting despite distance - but also of a common place where strangers in search of meaning converge
