Timothy Andrew Liken, known professionally as Tim Deluxe, was born on July 18, 1977, in Belfast, United Kingdom. He began his career as a DJ while working at a record store in London during the 1990s. Initially collaborating with Omar Amidora and Andy Lysandrou under the pseudonyms "R.I.P. Productions" and "Double 99," Tim Deluxe produced numerous UK Garage tracks for Ice Cream Records, gaining cult status within the scene. His breakthrough came in 1997 with the successful Speed Garage track "Ripgroove." In 1998, he collaborated with Milk & Sugar on their label Milk & Sugar Recordings. He then signed with Cross Section and later Underwater, where he released his debut single "Sirens" followed by the hit "It Just Won't Do," which featured vocals from Sam Obernik and became a standout at the Winter Music Conference in 2002. His subsequent release "Less Talk, More Action!" with Terra Deva further solidified his success.Deluxe continued to produce and remix tracks for various artists including Basement Jaxx, Layo & Bushwacka!, Kylie Minogue, and The White Stripes. In 2003, he released his debut album The Little Ginger Club Kid, which compiled many of his popular singles along with new productions like "Mundaya (The Boy)". His second studio album, Ego Death, was released in 2006 featuring collaborations with Ben Onono and Simon Franks. In 2011, he founded Get Human and Deluxe Records, releasing the albums Fluid Moments and The Radicle under his own label.
