RJ Benjamin is a South African award-winning vocalist, songwriter, composer, vocal coach, musical director, and producer. He graduated from the Allenby Campus School of Contemporary Music in 2000. His debut album, Who I Am, was released in 2004 through Ghetto Ruff Records. In 2007, he released Swimming in the Soul of Music, which won the Best RnB Album award at the Metro FM Awards. RJ Benjamin introduced himself to South Africa's house music audience with "Change The World" in 2009, featured on the Soul Candi Session 4 compilation album. This track was nominated for a Channel O Award and SAMA for Best Dance Video and Song of the Year, respectively. Following this success, he released the album House Bound (2010). After a three-year sabbatical, RJ Benjamin returned with Inside (2012), reinterpreting popular house tracks into various styles.
