Acetate Zero, a French music group, was formed in Paris in 1997. The band's concept revolved around instinctively recording guitar lines with electronic elements. In 1998, Acetate Zero released their first 7" single on Orgasm Records. Their debut album, Softcore Paradise, followed in 1999 and was reissued by Drumkid Records in 2003. The group's subsequent albums included Ground Altitude (2002), Crestfallen (2004), Civilize the Satanists (2007), and Hesitation Blues (2009). Acetate Zero performed with notable acts such as Album Leaf, Empress, and Rothko, and participated in festivals like MO'FO #4. Their album, Le réglage précis du zéro, was released in 2011. The group disbanded later that year following the departure of founding member Fabrice Neybecker.
