Copenhagen based, musician, singer, drummer, composer, songwriter. Over the years a prominent figure on the Danish music scene drumming in bands such as The Fried Okra Band, Trainman Blues, Las Palmeras and Carina Beldorf. Contributing with several songs to The Fried Okra Band. 2019 he released first album in own name Worldshaker, featuring Dawda Jobarteh on cora. An album entirely instrumental with beautiful melodies and intriguing rhythms. Started the world music project Bhatiz that released a self titled album in 2007.
The need to sing his own songs and explore music without genre limitations led Thomas to the decision to create a solo album, where he takes center stage as a singer.
His lyrics revolve around relationships, generations, age, love, and the wondrous nature of life. In addition to singing, Thomas plays drums on all tracks, as well as mandolin, piano, and percussion. His musical expression and sound is deeply rooted in his upbringing in the 70s and 80s. His music is guitar-driven, emphasizing rich melodies and organic instrumentation.
With his unique blend of heartfelt lyrics and versatile musical expression, Crawfurd invites listeners into a universe where honesty and musicianship go hand in hand.
