London-based singer-songwriter Jewelia creates her own flavour of pop, centred around her recognisable vocals, lyrical charisma and memorable melodies.
As well as numerous editorial playlist features, she has received support from The Vinyl District, Loud Women, CLOUT, Amazing Radio's Charlie Ashcroft, BBC Radio Kent's Leo Ulph and Dominic King, and was “Recommendation of the Week” on BBC Introducing with Abbie McCarthy.
Emerging with grander ambitions as she builds towards the April release of her upcoming album "Little Wins", Jewelia kickstarts the year with the energetic single ‘Invisible Wall’. Whipping up an alchemist’s pot of sonic influences, she brings together nostalgic ‘80s synth-pop, throwback ‘90s elements and the conversational lyricism of the early 2000s indie-pop scene, in a future/retro hybrid of sparkling alt pop that will speak to fans of Caroline Polachek, Goldfrapp or Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The song pushes forward a message of positivity and encourages the listener to „punch and break the invisible” wall – a worthy incentive at the beginning of the year, when everyone focuses on setting new goals and resolutions.
