Nekter Gun has music in his blood.
Born in Bolivia, he moved to the United States with his family at the age of 4. Nekter’s grandparents (both recording artists and musicians) created the family’s musical legacy. What began as singing church songs with his grandmother and listening as his grandfather tuned a six string guitar, slowly evolved into something far greater. Many years later, Nekter’s love of music took him from local coffee shops to stages where he made a name for himself along the Jersey Shore.
In 2016, his band Vestibule went on hiatus after 8 years of touring and recording and Nekter transitioned into music production. He studied at Dub Spot NYC and Berklee Online, later graduating with highest honors from Berklee with a degree in music production and songwriting.
Nekter released his first two singles "Wrapped Up In Your Love" and "Too Young" with pop artist, Pat Ross in 2019. The songs received over 430,000 streams in a matter of months.
He released his solo debut "Neon Night" on June 12, 2020, on his independent label, Gunlock Records which charted at number 18 on the iTunes electronic charts in Mexico and number 55 in Canada.
As of 2022, just 3 years into his career as a producer, his music has gained over 2,000,000 streams.
