The Weathermen, a semi-satirical Belgian electronic and pop group, began as a joke in 1985 when two Americano-Belgians sent their music to a local record company under the guise of enigmatic Americans. They were signed to Play It Again Sam (PIAS) Records, releasing their first single, "Old Friend Sam", that same year. The band's name was inspired by a line from Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues". With the addition of Tuxedomoon's visual specialist Bruce Geduldig, alias Chuck B, they released several singles and albums, including Ten Deadly Kisses (1986) and The Black Album According to The Weathermen (1988), which featured the notable track "Poison". The group evolved from electronic music into satirical poppy EBM. By 2004, they released Deeper with The Weathermen, followed by Embedded with The Weathermen in 2006 and a compilation album, The Last Communiqué from The Weathermen, in 2007.
