With a crystalline country vocal and a gift for emotional storytelling, BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville artist Madeline Merlo is a rising star with an old soul and new school edge. The Platinum-certified songwriter first broke through with âChampagne Night,â a three-week No. 1 for Lady A after she won Season 2 of NBCâs Songland. Born in British Columbia, Merlo grew up on â90s country and powerhouse vocalsâfrom Faith Hill to Aretha Franklinâand started writing songs and visiting Nashville by age 16. She later earned Canadaâs CCMA Rising Star award and signed her first record deal at 18. Named to CMTâs Next Women of Country class of 2024, sheâs since racked up over 10 million Spotify streams on the sassy âIt Didnâtâ and released her Slide EP in 2022.
