Producto 100% Colombiano Blaznez immigrated to Canada at the age of 7. Unlike his family composed of scientists, he opted for an artistic and musical path. Residing in one of the most multicultural barrios of Canada, at a young age he was exposed to various musical styles from all over the world, while keeping his own sázon.
Even though he enjoyed different genres, urban music (Rap R&B) and música latina became the base to his production and creation. It is without a doubt his friendship with Stanley Rimsky Salgado (also known as Imposs) that will shape his artistic journey. Inseparable since day one, in high school, the boys started to take their hobby more seriously and created a group named Wolfpack, along with two other artists. Narra, Jenny Salgado (J-Kill), Blaznez and Imposs made their 1st impacto sending a demo to the well-known radio show Nuit blanche in the mid nineties.
In 1996, Jenny and Stanley Salgado accompanied by rapper Dramatik formed the mythical group Muzion. Although not part of the official formation, his close friendship with the band members gave him the opportunity to participate in many of their projects throughout the years. In 1999 the album Mentalité Moune Morne had not only a huge impact on Muzion's career but also on the afro community in Quebec. For one of the first times, a local rap group was able to gain commercial success. The recognition from the industry and the general public helped them to open many doors for themselves but also for their peers. Blaznez’s feature on the song 666 Thème gave him the opportunity to participate in festivals and shows all over Quebec. His numerous collaborations with local and international rap artists especially with his group La Dynastie des Morniers is a testimony to Blaznez’s versitalidad.
From the Francofolies de Montréal to the Festival d’été de Québec, Blaznez always made sure to representar la raza by showcasing his roots Colombianas and performing mainly en español. Activó since the early days of rap in Quebec, his colorful and fluido style continues to impact generations of rap aficionados.
