Providing alternative choice in the chaotic competition of the commercial pop music scene since 2012, Paperdeer is an independent Hungarian electronic music project founded by producers Benjámin Kiss and Norbert Biró in Budapest. The two high school friends had been playing electronic music for a couple of years before they met Emese Stewart who collaborated with them for two songs (Next to Me and Up to the Top) which together with their instrumental track Spencer became their self-titled debut EP - now being available extended and independently re-released as Paperdeer EP. As a band, they started working on their first album Fabled with Stewart on vocals, however, she departed later. Shortly after publishing the LP, they released The Remixes featuring reworks of their previous songs by talented artists from all around the world. As a result, Paperdeer got discovered by many other musicians including Belau who invited them to make a remix of their multiple award-winning song Island of Promise. Since then, Benjámin has been on tour around Europe as part of the Belau project while Norbert moved to Denmark to gain experience in sound design.
