Anne Bakker is a violinist, violist and singer who is active in a wide range of musical genres. She has been working intensively with the likes of Agnes Obel, Blaze Bayley (former Iron Maiden vocalist), Göksel Yimaz Ensemble (Turkish/Arabic music), Kristoffer Gildenlow (Pain of Salvation) Machinefabriek (electronic/experimental) and many others.
Anne performed in many countries, including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Israel, The USA, Brazil, Canada, Dubai, and all over Europe, the UK and Turkey.
In addition to her work with various bands and projects, Anne performs her own music. Singing and accompanying herself on the viola and violin, using effect pedals and loops, she is balancing between traditional song structures and improvisation. Recently she released the EP Vox/Viola II, a follow up to her 2017 solo debut Vox/Viola.
