Jean-Philippe Barrios a.k.a. LACRYMOBOY is a French musician / composer.
Active for over 30 years with more than 70 music soundtracks to his credit, mainly for dance performances.
He collaborates in France with the companies Wang/Ramirez, Warren/RIFT, WKcollective … but also abroad with the Companies Brodas Bros, In-Motus in Spain, Ezdanza in Canada or even S.B.B., Cedar Lake, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago in the U.S.
His works have been shown in major theaters: Théâtre de la Ville, Chaillot (Paris), Sadler’s Wells (London), Gerald Lynch Theater (N.Y.), …
In recent years, he has participated in creative documentary projects such as « César, Sculpteur compressed » for French/German tv channel Arte and the Center Pompidou, « Charlotte Perriand, Pioneer of the art of living » for Arte and the Louis Vuitton Foundation and illustrates the series of France 5 « Parfum de Scandale ».
« Charlotte Perriand, Pioneer of the art of living » was Official Selection 2020 of the 38th FIFA (International Festival of Films on Art) and
won the 2021 Archi Awards - FIFAAC (International Film of Architecture and Constructive Adventures).
In parallel, he invests in sound creations for web-series and in particular that of Beard Club which won 16 prizes, 32 nominations and 18 official selections across the globe.
In 2019, he won the prize for best music at the Berlin Underground Festival with the documentary by Pascale Labout « Une Bouteille à la Mère ».
