Benoît Crauste is a musician, saxophonist and producer based in Paris.
He works in contact with the different languages and musical currents that irrigate his native city. Active on stage for 20 years, he creates bridges between jazz, Afro-American music and listening to nature. Active in the Afrobeat movement, he accompanies Nigerian artists, former musicians of Fela Kuti based in Paris, Oghene Kologbo, Kiala, Tony Allen (...) He is also a founding member of the group Monkuti he recorded in 2018 Monkuti Vilé.
Open to the sounds of the world he multiplies collaborations abroad, especially Brazil country for which he is passionate and stays regularly.
In 2022 he co-created a Franco-Brazilian orchestra in Paris with 23 musicians under the direction of great Itiberê Zwarg: a Itiberê Orquestra familia da França.
His work as a composer is situated at the crossroads of these influences and the sound landscapes that he records to invest new fields of artistic experience. Chuva Caiu, his first solo EP released in 2019 synthesizes his loves for harmony and nature.
He is currently working on a new album, an initiatory journey : "Enredo"
