Gone to L.A. (Frankie Novielli) is a Canadian born recording artist and songwriter with aspirations of carrying forth the prestigious reputation and ever-growing legacy of Toronto and the music it’s cultivated through peers in the city such as Drake and The Weeknd.
Much like them, Gone to L.A. is both determined and focused to make great music, share his stories, life experiences, spread messages, encourage others to live out their dreams, bring people together, provide positivity, enjoyment, and at the very least, some form of escapism for those who may need it.
He has a very unique ability of pairing eclectic lyrics and melodies together on a wide variety of instrumentation, which in turn leave both pre-existing and new listeners ears completely refreshed and revitalized with every new release.
Gone to L.A. is more than just a moniker, alias, or pen name. It isn’t just a city, location, or a fancy way of saying he’s on vacation. Gone to L.A. is a journey. A metaphor for life. A reminder that if you ever feel you aren’t good enough, worthy enough, or far enough, that the destination isn’t nearly as exciting as the plane ride there. When you get upset because you aren’t who, what, or where you want or even think you should be at this current moment in your life, to take a seat back, look out the window and realize how high up you truly are.
Gone to L.A. is about patience, persistence, and perspective. Realizing there’s more than one way to get somewhere, and that finding your way isn’t only the single greatest part about it, but it’s the only way you’ll ever get there anyway.
