Meet Nouf Sufyani - better known as Cosmicat - the leading Saudi female DJ & producer in the electronic scene. Born and raised in Jeddah, Cosmicat always had a strong passion for music in a world where it was considered taboo; there were limited record & music equipment stores and no live performances. Cultural protocol meant that she had to keep her passion a secret so Cosmicat worked toward the more realistic career of dentistry but never gave up on her dream of producing. She bought her first set of gear online and began DJing in her bedroom, using her innate understanding of music flow and online resources to teach herself.
Fast forward a few years and Cosmicat began to develop her own sound and secured gigs at underground events right across the Middle East The recent changes in her country gave Cosmicat her first real platform – MDLBEAST's Soundstorm festival where she shared the stage with dance heavyweights such as R3HAB & Steve Aoki and her personal favourites – Solomun & Peggy Gou.
