Luis is an award-winning Spanish film composer based in Madrid. Graduated in Piano and Music Theory by the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (UK) with a Master Degree in Filmscoring (Centro Superior Katarina Gurska) receiving the 2015 award in the category of Best Soundtrack that same year.
Since his graduation, Luis has focused his attention on composing for film/TV as a freelancer with Dopplermedia Studios. He attended to Penka Kouneva´s Orchestration Masterclass in Los Angeles on March 2017, wrote the original score for the indie film "The Dragon Kingdom" (UK), spanish series "Wake Up" for RTVE, and the film “Junglemahal the Awakening”.
Leader of Lamprologus from 2009 to 2015, he won 5 national awards for best live band, released 3 albums and a live DVD. Since 2017 he created the band Primal Core with Jose A Casado, playing at big festivals like “Sonorama Ribera" and “Tribu Fest”. Currently working in their second album, that will be release soon.
Multi-instrumentalist, he has always been involved with live music and theater having performed as lead singer, guitarist, pianist, bass player and being also a live engineer for plenty of shows. As lead orchestrator, Luis has been involved in several Spanish shows like “ The Circus”, “ The black cat” or “ Magallanes” and worked as Music Director and Producer for many others.
After signing with Alondra Music, and releasing his first EP “Songs for balance” with Onerpm, we find his new work “Back & forth”. A very intuitive single with dark electronic influences that opens a new sonic world for the artist, exploring his influences and the ways music can become something else than a style or a label.
