Aphir is the surrealist electronic choral project of Australian songwriter / producer / engineer Becki Whitton. Influenced by 17th century vocal music, dreamscapes, and the catharsis brought about by screaming words of devotion into a wall of noise, Aphir's songs are set in a world apart from the one we wake up to.
With artistry and expertise far beyond her age, Becki has been releasing music under the Aphir alias since 2013. Over the last six years, she has worked alongside Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Hiatus Kaiyote and Miami Horror) and Tim Shiel (Spirit Level, Gotye) and was flown to Berlin to perform in the AUUG Motion Synth Showcase at Music Tech Fest.
