Brooklyn-based duo Francis Harris and Anthony Collins released several records of dreamy deep house under the name Frank & Tony. The duo also co-founded the Scissor & Thread label in 2011 and began releasing a series of Frank & Tony EPs in 2012. Several of the duo's early songs were collaborations with indie dance duo Bob Moses, who would eventually sign to Domino after releasing two EPs on Scissor & Thread.
Frank & Tony's EPs gained praise from influential electronic music publications, building up anticipation for their debut full-length. This came in the form of 2014's You Go Girl, which was praised as one of the best underground house albums of the year, with the sweet, calmly blissful "Bring the Sun" receiving the most attention.
They concluded the Frank & Tony project with their 2017 release, Odes. Both artists kept releasing albums: Francis Harris followed up on his debut Leland from 2012: Minutes Of Sleep (2018), Trivial Occupations (2018) and Thresholds (2022) as well as the Swann and Odette album with the project Aris Kindt (2017). Anthony Collins released three albums under his moniker Grant: Cranks (2016), Fantasy Blues (2019) and Perception (2020).
In 2022 the duo reunited with the EP Dream Vibration marking the 50th release on Scissor & Thread followed by the EPs Eastern Meantimes and Understanding, before they released their second full lenghth Ethos in 2024.
