Mamak Khadem, born in 1961 in Tehran, Iran, is an Iranian-American singer known for her work in world trance music. She began her musical journey as part of the Children's Choir for National Radio and Television of Iran during her youth. After immigrating to the United States in 1977, Khadem formed the band Axiom of Choice, the first Iranian fusion band abroad, which released albums such as Beyond Denial (1996), Niya Yesh (2000), and Unfolding (2002). As a solo artist, she has released several albums including Jostojoo: Forever Seeking (2007), A Window to Color (2011), The Road (2015), and Remembrance (2022). Khadem has also contributed to various soundtracks, including The Chosen One (1995) and the miniseries Battlestar Galactica (2003).
